Victory without annihilation
Kṛṣṇa and Bāṇāsura
Twelve scenes—from Ūṣā’s dream to the return to Dvārakā—build the complete victory the final verse asks us to remember.

The story behind the promise
A princess dreams of a man she has never met. Her confidante finds him. Her thousand-armed father takes the young warrior captive. A rescue becomes a war; Lord Śiva stands by his devotee; and the Original Conscious Source enters the conflict—where victory becomes power governed by restraint and mercy.
The exact promise
“Whoever rises early in the morning and remembers Lord Kṛṣṇa’s victory in His battle with Lord Śiva will never experience defeat.”Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 10.63.53
Here the Original Conscious Source is not an abstraction: the Bhāgavatam names Him as Lord Kṛṣṇa. The verse asks you to rise early and remember His victory. The twelve-scene journey follows Ūṣā and Aniruddha through the Yādava rescue, Lord Śiva’s intervention, the two fevers, Bāṇa’s defeat, the mercy that spares him and the return home—making the remembrance vivid, coherent and durable.
Begin with scene oneBeyond the defining story
Begin with Kṛṣṇa and Bāṇāsura. Then see deeper victory expressed as Prahlāda’s fearless conviction and Pṛthu’s ambition mature enough to relinquish the final trophy.

“Never experience defeat” is one exact benediction. Across all twelve cantos, Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam joins practices of attention— hearing, studying, chanting and remembering—to concrete fruits: courage, discernment, protection, responsible prosperity, devotion and freedom.
Whether you are studying, building, leading, caring for a family or asking what remains after achievement, success widens here: from favorable outcomes to clear judgment, right relationship, devotion and freedom. The practice is part of every promise.
